We realized that many Africans, especially in Cameroon, find it difficult to use and monetize their skills on Western platforms like Upwork and Fiverr due to payment barriers and intense global competition. But our ambition goes further than solving that one problem.
AfriqGig As artificial intelligence reshapes how the world works, we're not against it — we're building with it, while making sure our youth are never left behind. AfriqGig isn't here to compete with the freelance platforms that already exist; we want to play our part in reducing unemployment and poverty, especially in communities where the lack of opportunity pushes young people toward decisions they never wanted to make.
AfriqGig exists to give young people real, guaranteed pathways to dignified work — because we believe opportunity is one of the strongest protections against the pressures that push people toward decisions they never wanted to make. Beyond jobs, we're building a community where people work, learn, and grow together, positively.
